General Summary: Reports to Facilities Manager. Responsible for daily functions that support the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the facility and grounds while maintaining the desired image for visitors.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness of the shop and grounds including shop areas, common areas, bathrooms, hallways, windows, doors and offices.
- Empties trash bins and disposes of trash.
- Coordinates with staff in other departments to ensure that their specific maintenance needs are met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
High school education or equivalent required. Typically requires at least 1 year of general maintenance or commercial cleaning experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the liability/casualty insurance requirements.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude. Able to work in a team environment and work well with others. Basic cleaning skills preferred, and strong attention to detail.
Equipment and Applications:
Able to use basic hand tools. Able to operate maintenance equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Able to lift heavy equipment and boxes up to 70 pounds. Able to be on feet and walking for the majority of the workday. Work environment includes loud noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, and potentially dangerous tools and equipment.
