Graduate Mechanical Engineering Scheme 2020

Integral Powertrain – Graduate Mechanical Engineering Scheme 2020

Milton Keynes

“Being the best is as much about desire at it is delivery, good engineers become great engineers in the right environment” – Darren Cairns, Director at Integral Powertrain

Exciting times ahead

The past two years have seen Integral Powertrain grow exponentially, both in size and market stature. We have been thrust into the public eye following our contribution to a number of high-profile projects.

We have demonstrated the most powerful e-Drive products on the market. Our engineering and technology has enabled our clients to dominate motorsport and set new world records, confirming at every level that the future of powertrain is electric.

In June 2018, two Integral e-Drive advanced SPM motors powered the Volkswagen Motorsport ID. R Pikes Peak race car up the Rocky Mountains where the time for electric vehicles and the overall record were smashed.

These motors have been recognised across the industry as truly ground breaking, leading us to receive a host of awards including the Dewar Trophy. We were also named Milton Keynes Business of the Year.

Track to road

We are committed to stay at the forefront of motorsport powertrain technology. At the same time we are also taking what we have learnt on the track to lead electric and hybrid powertrain development on the road.

Cars such as the recently announced Aston Martin Valkyrie and Lotus’ Evija will be powered by Integral e-Drive motor technology.

These are just a few of the ground-breaking hybrid and electric motor system design and development projects you could be a part of if you decide to ‘Engineer The Future’ at Integral Powertrain.

Be part of our next generation of engineering

Our graduate scheme is designed to support passionate engineers reach their full potential and make a valued contribution from day one. Working with our world leading engineering teams, you will have a unique opportunity to gain an invaluable understanding of our engineering processes, methods and products from first concept to track, road and air.

Throughout the two-year scheme, you will create concepts through design and analysis; build, test and develop prototypes and gain an appreciation of the software and electronics which help power and control the technology.

We have expert engineers from a variety of disciplines to learn from and many new and amazing products in creation. You too can be part of rewriting the record books and creating the advanced e-Mobility products of the future.

About us

Our engineers are encouraged to:

  • Create and innovate
  • Carry out research and develop products from first principles
  • Work on diverse projects with a variety of clients and customers
  • Take ownership of problems and solve them

We work in a vibrant, fast paced working environment where your ideas matter, working closely with clients and customers and having a profound impact in the projects you work on.

Our passion and enthusiasm drive us to succeed in the most demanding of tasks, we push existing boundaries and consistently create technology that many didn’t think possible.

About you

As well as an outstanding academic record in an engineering or related scientific subject, you will have a creative and forward-thinking mentality, be tenacious when solving complex engineering problems and embrace new technologies and challenges as you develop.

You will be passionate about automotive engineering and motorsport, pro-active and results driven, with a can-do attitude.
