Our engineering team is structured for fast progress, with there being a close cooperation between the different projects and disciplines as well as with the manufacturing engineers. Cosworth’s graduate scheme will suit candidates that are self-motivated and interested in developing a broad range of skills.
Purpose of Position
You will be working as a member of Cosworth’s tight-knit engineering team across a range of projects and disciplines, including: Design, Simulation & Analysis, Test & Development and Project Engineering
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND CHARACTER
- Good class degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent qualification.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the operating principles of the internal combustion engine.
- Able to interpret technical information to generate a logical series of actions based on the implementation of sound engineering practice.
- Able to show an understanding of the commercial and manufacturing implications of engineering actions.
- Able to communicate effectively on a technical level with other engineers, both within and external to Cosworth. This includes the compilation of written reports, verbal communications and presentations.
- Have a good understanding of commonly used office software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to organize own workload in an effective manner.
- Able to demonstrate a commitment to improving skills through relevant training and experience.
- Have a passion for engineering and problem solving.
