Darlington Raceway, nicknamed The Lady in Black and the track Too Tough to Tame, is home to the award-winning Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR and annually hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends, along with the NASCAR Xfinity Series and/or NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. Opening in 1950, Darlington Raceway is “A NASCAR Tradition” and NASCAR’s original superspeedway with its famed 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval, challenging the sports best in one of the most iconic NASCAR races, the Southern 500®.
NASCAR is seeking talented professionals to join our team as event worker / seasonal Firefighter. This position is located at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina.
Essential Functions:
- Perform Fire and First Responder functions. Shifts typically range from 6-16 hours depending on the event.
- Practice and maintain professional work ethic and appearance.
Required Certifications:
- Current Fire I certification (Minimum Standards)
- Current BLS CPR card (ASHI, American Red Cross and American Heart accepted)
- High School Graduate/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Successfully pass a driving record check.
- Must be at least 18 years Must attend annual training and complete required online training initially and annually.
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude!
This is a temporary seasonal, event-based position located in Darlington, South Carolina. Shifts and hours will vary based on our event needs.
