Purpose of Role
The primary role will be data engineering support for BJR’s three Super2 race cars and it’s Kumho series car; before, during and after race meetings and test days. The role also involves completion of various design and development projects when time permits.
The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager. BJR sees its Super2 program as an opportunity to groom candidates for transition to the main Supercars Championship. A successful candidate should see this role as an opportunity to improve their existing skills, test themselves, and prove they are ready to work in one of the most competitive championships in the world.
- Maintenance of vehicle data acquisition systems, telemetry and sensors.
- Responsible for keeping stock of related parts.
- Assist in manufacture of electrical looms where appropriate.
- Ensure legality of the electrical and logging systems.
- Data Analysis / Race Engineering Support.
- Analysis of vehicle data to maximise performance and reliability.
- Development of new ways to characterise and display performance using data.
- Preparation of race strategies where applicable.
- Component and Assembly Design where directed by the Engineering Manager.
- Vehicle and Systems Development and Innovation.
