Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and skilled CNC Mastercam Programmer to provide Gigafactory 1 with prototype components to enhance and shorten the design/build/test process. Join a fast paced and rapidly growing team that works on the most advanced battery, motor, gear box, and drive inverter components in the world. Work closely with engineers and technicians to develop high quality parts.
Responsibilities
- Setup and run Multi Axis CNC Vertical Mills and CNC Lathes
- Use CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs
- Inspect all machined components post machining
- Work with the Engineering teams to provide crucial input on design for manufacturing.
- Asked to do the impossible and expected to do it
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a fast paced Machine Shop
- Ability to use CAD/CAM software to generate machining programs
- Ability to setup and machine complex and high tolerance components
- Materials: stainless steel, steel, aluminum, plastics, copper, brass, and silicates
- Passionate about prototyping and machining
- Positive energy and attitude
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly motivated
- Well organized and strong verbal communication skills
- Flexible, ability to work in a fast pace constantly changing environment with long hours and tight deadlines
- Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel experience
