A vacancy has arisen for a Build Composites Technician working within the Car Build department.
Key accountabilities/duties include:
- Working with the Build Chassis Manager ensure that every new part has been prefitted to the mock up or prefit car before it is sent to a race or test.
- Ensure all car related prefit issues are reported to the DO and are recorded correctly on the car feedback system.
- Provide the Race Team with any relevant information which would aid them in the installation of an assembly at the circuit.
- Assist in the assembly of wings and the maintenance of race team composite stock.
- Under instruction from the DO, trim composite components as required to ensure parts fit the cars as designed.
- Ensure the prefit chassis is maintained to the highest possible standard and reflects the current car spec.
- Assist in 7 Poster and special event build as required.
- Assist in all Build Departments as required including, Build Systems, Component Logistics as required to support the Build Team.
- Attend events and travel to some events will be required.
- Assist in the packing of late freight once prefits have been completed for flyaway events.
- Attend daily Build Composite Department meetings.
Candidate Profile
- Previous Motorsport experience required and composite experience would be desirable
- Good people skills are required along robust behaviours.
- Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under high pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
