Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Global Head of Brand Marketing within the McLaren Automotive Global Marketing Team, the Product Series Brand Manager is a senior role responsible for developing and executing strategies and marketing activations to deliver Go-to-Market and Product Sustainment for specific vehicle lines. The position is required to design, manage and implement integrated multi-channel launch and marketing plans across the business to create demand and drive business growth.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the launch and lifecycle marketing plan for key McLaren model ranges, collaborating with marketing and communications functions to devise, schedule, and track cross-channel activities, including reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Product, Digital, and CRM teams to drive the creation of the product proposition and creative campaign.
  • Design, budget, and evaluate the effectiveness of launch and sustainment marketing campaigns.
  • Direct and manage creative agency input, providing clear feedback to ensure goals are met without stifling creativity.
  • Responsible for coordinating cross-functional asset needs (photography and film) and as needed, commissioning brand productions.
  • Budget responsibility for launch and sustainment marketing, tracking the financial effectiveness of campaigns through regular reporting, including return on investment.
  • Responsibility for and coordination of launch planning meetings, the sales and marketing gateway process, and documentation
  • Responsible for managing all marketing and market launch deliverables through the McLaren Development Process (MDP) to ensure each project is delivered on time and risks are mitigated. Maintain strict adherence to McLaren brand guidelines across all communications (including monitoring Realer communications and enforcing the VI breach and Infringement process).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive product/brand marketing as well as in planning and executing impactful digital campaigns.
  • Proven product launch communications strategy, planning and project management.
  • Creative development, planning and production.
  • Managing end-to-end marketing campaigns and communication activity
  • Digital media buying and optimisation.
  • Web Analytics and reporting on ROI of digital activity.
  • Sustainment marketing strategy, planning and delivery.
  • Retailer marketing development and creation
  • Broader commercial experience across sales and marketing functions preferable
  • Strong communication skills. You are confident and articulate and can convey impactful messages with ease.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent, CIM qualification preferred.
  • Previous Automotive experience would be extremely beneficial.
  • Agency management essential
