Banquet Sales

Speedway Motorsports and Texas Motor Speedway are top-tier leaders in motorsports-based entertainment and are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic banquet sales representative to join the Sales Department.

Non-Race Duties:

  • Build and Maintain relationships with clients that do business with the Speedway Club related to all special events that take place within the Speedway Club Building.
  • Source and secure new business, both inbound and outbound sales opportunities related to special events for the Speedway Club.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the event from conception, planning, inter-department communications for execution of the event and post event follow-up. Work in unison with Catering Manager to ensure events are well organized and event contact is pleased with the operation.
  • Work all race weekends and banquets as scheduled.
  • Act as liaison between banquet clients, the sales department and Levy Restaurants.
  • Maintain the SWC calendar including all room rentals and work in unison with the Special Events Manager of Texas Motor Speedway
  • Manage and oversee event logistics, including managing event calendar, conducting site visits, and acting as primary point of contact for clients.
  • General Knowledge of Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations
  • Ensure clients have a positive experience, exceptional problem solving and hospitality skills.
  • Support the SWC team during all related race events.
  • Willing to work weekends, evenings and normal business operating times.

Qualifications

  • Accredited certificate or diploma in hospitality or similar field preferred.
  • Ideal candidate has 2-4 year’s experience in a similar role or field.
  • Experience in hospitality industry preferred with a sales and customer service mindset.
  • Attention to detail and follow through.
  • Proactive Nature, creative problem solving and remain calm under pressure
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize; strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability based on the needs of the day’s tasks, including short notice items.
  • Able to complete projects with little direction (self-starter).
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • CPR Certification
