Automotive Technician

We utilize a full suite of design tools and methodologies capable of supporting unique and diverse projects. As industry experts, we provide full vehicle, component and subsystem design, testing and production. MARTIN is currently in seeking an Automotive Tech for our Motor Sports business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently perform work specified to repair or replace damaged or worn parts
  • Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Test-drive vehicles, utilize diagnostic tools and special service equipment to evaluate vehicle condition and determine service requirements
  • Basic fabrication to accommodate component fitment
  • Provide input regarding upgrades / modifications to customize vehicles
  • Research system options and components to ensure proper application for build

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' automotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience working on vintage classic, prototype, custom vehicles preferred
  • State/ASE certifications preferred
  • Own mechanic tools with rolling toolbox
  • Must be able work individually and in a team environment
