Automotive Procurement Specialist

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manage domestic/international principal inventories based upon forecasts and historical demand
  • Issue purchase orders and submit to suppliers
  • Negotiate payment terms and conditions and discounts
  • Verify cost on purchase orders
  • Maintain vendor cost revisions/updates
  • Source for new items directly from Bill of Material for price and availability
  • Enhance vendor list and regularly conduct vendor audits
  • Form close working relationships with key contacts with Tier suppliers and OEMs to ensure the efficient delivery of material
  • Interaction with Finance Department to ensure correct payment information
  • Report any potential service/supply risks

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
  • 3 years of Automotive Procurement experience
  • 3 years of Automotive Purchasing experience required
  • 3 years of Inventory management experience required
  • Ability to source for new vendors and inventory
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand different technical topics and discuss it on a technical level
  • Desire to build effective working relationships
  • Desire for continuous personal development and growth
