The Purpose of this role is:

As a member to the DMC team, you will spend time working in different areas of the business such as application development and application engineering for various technologies such as FDM, SLS, DMLS, DLD, MJF etc. After your time in each area, you will choose a specialist area for you to focus.

Typical Key Responsibilities of this role are:

  • Preparation of customer data for printing. This may include minor/major fixing and post processing considerations.
  • Setting up of builds to a strict schedule using relevant 3D printing software, ensuring lead-times are competitive and vigorously met.
  • With assistance of operations, process customer quotes from initial enquiry to completion rapidly, and obtaining quotations for sub-contract work.
  • Project Management of complex production work, liaising with operations team and communicating project status to customers.
  • Preparation of customer data for printing. This may include minor/major fixing and post processing considerations.
  • Order processing of powder and associated materials.
  • Creating process Local Work Instructions and providing training to staff as necessary.
  • Inspection of parts to ensure they comply with requirements.

Key Skills:

  • A strong passion for additive manufacturing/new technologies is desired, demonstrable by either personal projects and or prior work experience.
  • A good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • You will be technically minded with a keen eye for detail
  • Competent within MS Office
  • Impeccable time management and highly organised
  • Understand the importance of KPI-driven performances
  • Able to adhere to routine procedures and can take full responsibility for your own actions Are an ambitious individual, able to think outside the box and provide process improvement input as we continuously seek to improve product quality and production flow.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Currently working towards or have already achieved a 2:1 within one of the following subjects; Mechanical Engineering Degree or above Obtained 1-2 years’ experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Positive approach with a can do approach
  • Experience in a technical engineering/manufacturing environment
