Accounts Manager

Nitron are a manufacturer of racing car and motorcycle suspension based in Eynsham, Oxfordshire. We pride ourselves in being a supplier to top level motorsport teams and manufacturers all over the world and we export the majority of our products. We also have distribution and assembly operations in Japan, the USA and Asia.

Due to continued and steady growth, we now have an opportunity for a senior accounts person. This role consists primarily of the management of the company accounts and accounts personal, but will also require a greater spread of responsibilities over the main office in general (sales processing and purchasing). The ideal candidate will have had considerable experience working with company accounts at a senior / management level and is now looking to make their mark in a key position within a successful and expanding company. Good team-leading and interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this role, as is ability to work undirected to an agreed program and targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger and Credit Control
  • Payroll
  • Bank and control account reconciliation
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Drafting monthly management accounts
  • HMRC reporting, including VAT returns and EC Sales Lists
  • ONS statistical returns
  • Staff expenses processing and payment
  • Regular and Ad hoc financial analysis
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with all departments
  • General administration

The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Several years’ experience in accounting for a busy small to medium size business (to include payroll)
  • Experience in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel (essential) and Word
  • Team leadership skills with the ability to take own initiative and delegate effectively
  • Self-motivated, responsible and reliable
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good standard of education (would suit AAT qualified or similar)
  • A very tidy and organised manner with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Adaptable and open to change
  • A positive “can do” attitude

Nitron are offering an annual salary in the region of £30,000 for this position, depending on experience, for a 37.5 hour working week, with the opportunity to progress within the company to more senior levels.
