The position:
We are recruiting a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer within our Tyre Science Team to guide the tyre model correlation, develop analysis tools, and improve tyre optimisation capabilities. Reporting to the Tyre Science Team Leader, you will also contribute to the overall technical strategy for the Vehicle Dynamics Department and provide support for various projects across the entire F1 team as may be required from time to time, and especially where tyre expertise is needed.
Core responsibilities:
Develop the trackside toolset to integrate new models and increase optimisation capabilities
Ensure good correlation using track and rig data
Contribute to the development of high-performance, numerically efficient models
Identify and prioritise tyre analysis and model upgrade requirements
Support the analysis and optimisation of tyre performance
Liaise with design functions to optimise tyre performance through car specification
Skills, Qualifications and experience:
We are looking for an Engineer with an excellent degree in engineering or related subject. Experience in vehicle dynamics, data analysis, tyre model development and software skills is also advantageous, but not essential.
