Systems Rigger (Freelance/Casual)

About The Role

Are you interested in travelling around the world and joining the team who are responsible for the rigging, maintaining and de-rigging at Formula 1 events?  We are looking for a Systems Rigger to safely move and deploy company equipment at events in line with Formula 1’s policies and procedures, on a Freelance/Casual basis.  

This role entails attending up to 12 Formula 1 events throughout the year, for approximately 15 days at a time on an had hoc basis, the duties of which will include;

  • Rig and de-rig of the Event Technical Centre and ancillary equipment (e.g. deployment of nodes, cables, camera platforms, Rolex clock, gazebo’s etc.) at Formula 1 events

  • Ongoing maintenance of the Event Technical Centre and compound during race week including cleaning, clearing etc

  • Loading and strapping of vehicles

  • Ongoing maintenance of vehicles during race week e.g. washing and polishing trucks

  • Act as security officers which includes door security to the Event Technical Centre, Grid and Motorhome

  • Operate shuttle bus when required

  • When required act as banksman, where qualified to do so

  • Operate lifting equipment as required and only when qualified to do so

About You

You have a can-do attitude and the willingness to travel and work away for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time.

 

You have:

  • A flexible approach to work

  • Good organisation and communication skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of rigging and de-rigging large scale technical facilities, cable rigging

  • Forklift / scissor lift license

  • European HGV driving experience
