Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer to join our growing team of creative visionaries. You will have the opportunity to produce stunning visual concepts for our products and communications along with other creative projects. You will mainly be responsible for developing concept artworks and visual assets working closely with our Creative Director, and will collaborate with the team to iterate and polish the visual and interaction design of our products. Our ideal candidate is inspired by the future of mobility and technology, and passionate about creating ground-breaking, futuristic automotive experience. 

You will collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams including design, engineering, product, and marketing as well as interact closely with Fisker customers to seek feedback and test your concepts. You are a lifelong explorer and visionary artist.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide forward, innovative visual design about the future of connected vehicles
  • Work with a Creative Director, UX Designers and other team members to explore and generate stunning visual design concepts
  • Visualize ideas and storytelling through low fidelity sketches, high polished screen mock-ups, and interactive prototypes
  • Prepare and pitch design to internal teams and key stakeholders, explaining and articulating the thinking behind the design
  • Gather feedback to iterate and improve the artworks until it is signed off
  • Work closely with other designers, technical artist, engineers and developers to implement the artworks where appropriate
  • Help establish Fisker’s brand in products and communications, adhering to style standards
  • Stay up to date with latest trends in automotive, fashion, technology and other related fields

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in visual design development using digital tools
  • Strong visual design aesthetic and keen eye on details
  • Proficiency in industry standard design tools (Sketch, Adobe CC, Cinema 4D etc.) 
  • Experience developing concept art for digital products (automotive, mobile apps, gaming, and connected device experience a plus)
  • Love of typography, color palettes, and clever visual design. 
  • Passion for innovation, design trends, and technology is required
  • Risk taking in design, pushing past the obvious, and making something you love
  • Experience producing final artwork data
  • Must be flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter direction according to changes in projects or business environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently to prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, professional and a positive attitude
  • Ability to travel and work long hours
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a design-related discipline preferred
  • Must include a portfolio demonstrating successful design solutions with emphasis on interaction and interface design solutions
