Position Summary

The Sr. Accountant reports to the Manager, General Ledger and oversees functional accounting staff, prepare financial forecasts, and manages the financial statement close process. This is a leadership position that is proactive and solution-oriented. The individual in this role will be an expert communicator and leader with a strong ability to oversee responsibilities and collaborate across accounting functions domestically and globally.     

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the execution of the worldwide month-end close processes, including all month-end journal entries and account reconciliations of multiple processes

  • Involvement with fixed assets and inventory

  • Own various accruals according to management estimates

  • Prepare monthly consolidation and financial reporting under US GAAP

  • Perform monthly fluctuation analysis by entity, by account, and by function

  • Provide guidance to international accounting teams to ensure consistency in consolidated financial reporting and application of corporate policies

  • Support external year-end audit and quarterly reviews

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams in company-wide system and process implementation projects

  • Ensure compliance with Fisker’s internal accounting policies, controls over financial reporting and procedures, as well as local regulations.

  • Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity.

  • Contribute and assist with other key projects as needed.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • 3+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or above in accounting and finance, CPA experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred

  • Familiar with US accounting concepts, principles and practices, reporting experience.

  • Automotive OEM or automotive component manufacturing experience

  • US CPA preferred

  • Excellent fluency in English

  • Proven experience in managerial role

  • Strong decision-making capabilities

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

  • Proving ability to develop and maintain financial plans

  • Ability to motivate and lead people and hold employees accountable

  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

  • SAP Experience

  • AR Reconciliation

Expected Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
