The role:
We have an exciting opening for a Senior Aerodynamicist to join one of our development groups.
You will work collaboratively as part of a small team, applying your thoughtful and curious nature to a range of stimulating challenges. By interpreting trends and developing understanding, you will create innovative engineering solutions to real problems. As a valued member of our Aerodynamics Department, your ideas and skills will make a tangible contribution to the Team.
Your responsibilities will include:

Leading development projects that improve the aerodynamic performance of the racecar

Guiding and developing other engineers, sharing knowledge and specialist skills

Supporting and growing our capabilities and specialist tools (eg CFD, experimental)

Interpreting trends, for example from our state-of-the-art CFD and wind tunnel facilities

Improving our understanding of flow structures

Collaborating to create innovative solutions

Surfacing and design of concepts

Meshing and post-processing CFD

Planning and running test programmes

This role is office-based, at our campus in Brackley, United Kingdom.
What we are looking for:
It is essential that you have:

An established track record working in Formula One at the level of Aerodynamicist or above, using experimental and CFD methods to develop innovative concepts that improve car performance.

A good understanding of aerodynamics, seeing both the big picture and the fine detail

An appreciation of how best to apply state-of-the-art tools to aerodynamic development

An interest in guiding and developing others
Your open and honest communication style and broad overview of your subject mean you relish collaborating in a team setting and enjoy discussing technical concepts. You are equally comfortable working on your own, applying your reflective nature, interpretive skills, attention to detail and dependable judgment to understand complicated engineering problems then propose and evaluate viable solutions in a timely fashion. Looking to fulfil your potential, you are excited about constantly learning while fostering the understanding of others.
