This is a unique opportunity working at a senior level and collaborating across the business divisions to deliver Formula 1’s sustainability strategy, which is focused on reducing carbon emissions to net zero, creating sustainable Grand Prix weekends, and leaving a positive legacy in the communities where we race. Based at our HQ in St James's Market this role reports into the Chief Counsel – Motorsport, Sustainability & Ethics.
The Role:
- Provide expert leadership and advice to all business divisions and operational departments on key sustainability initiatives, to support the delivery of the overall sustainability strategy.
- Effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders on key social and environmental issues.
- Identify innovative sustainability targets, provide specialist advice on social and environmental issues, and collaborate with relevant internal functions in the practical delivery of projects.
- Implement and manage sustainability policies, communicating these effectively through training and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and implement suitable sustainability/ESG management systems, procurement systems and reporting frameworks.
- Measure and analyse data to track progress against targets; produce internal and external sustainability/ESG reports.
- Generate relevant communications briefings and content for senior leadership teams for use with key commercial partners and other stakeholders.

About You
Recognised as a leader in your field you will be able to demonstrate a track record of practical delivery against publicly stated goals on environmental and social issues.
You have:
- Significant experience leading sustainability programmes gained within major commercial organisations.
- Proven ability to lead, implement and deliver sustainability commitments on time and within budget.
- Proven expertise as a subject matter expert across a broad range of initiatives relating to environmental sustainability and wider ESG.
- A collaborative team player with internal and external stakeholder management capabilities.
- Technical expertise, with experience of effectively implementing management, procurement and reporting systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A commercial and pragmatic working style.
