Event Sales Director

Role Purpose:

To maximise commercial revenue performance all Motorsport Network Events. Deliver revenues from a variety of products ranging from exhibition space to sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Show’s and other events commercial revenue performance
  • Overall responsibility for all stand sales and sponsorship revenue and other revenues which may become apparent as part of our wider events offering
  • Account management
  • Responsible for development and training and appraisal of all Event Sales members
  • Working with Show’s operational and marketing teams to ensure fulfilment
  • Responsible for managing key relationships with clients, internal and external partners, opinion leaders, trade associations and media partners

Key Deliverables:

  • Deliver commercial revenues to agreed targets
  • Originating and on-going development of sponsorship proposals whose obligations can be met without committing the company to extra cost, unless authorised to do so with signed approval by UK Operations Director
  • Account-manage and sell to top exhibitors and prospects

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Sales Management and new business development
  • Experience of marketing technology/ CRM industries is preferred
  • Proven commercial experience in an Events environment
  • Experience of managing large complex budgets
  • Overseeing the delivery of high standards of service
  • Strong understanding of the events industry
  • Ability to maximise opportunities to generate income
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Developed sense of product ownership
  • Strong planning, organising and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
