Role Overview

At the heart of Fisker’s visionary product lies a state of the art powertrain – and you can play a central role in its delivery. We are looking for an experienced EV Systems Integration Engineer to ensure that our powertrain components communicate safely and effectively with each other, and with the rest of the vehicle, and to manage the torque path and diagnostics delivery of the primary powertrain control ECU. Fisker is a fast-moving technologically-focused startup, and in this context you will need considerable flexibility and adaptability to deal with the rapidly-developing requirements at the leading edge of EV powertrain implementation.

Skills and Experience

  • Decompose vehicle requirements into powertrain system level requirements and cascade to powertrain team
  • Develop verification strategy and execute testing to ensure powertrain meets system requirements
  • Manage powertrain system integration into the vehicle, troubleshoot issues and propose solutions
  • Prior experience in automotive powertrain functional control at OEM or Tier 1
  • Experience defining requirements for EV powertrain
  • Experience with requirements management tracking and ALM tools (for example using DOORS, Polarion or JAMA)
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
  • Knowledge of software structure and development from requirements derivation to software validation
  • Familiarity with powertrain diagnostics implementation
  • Experience of effective supplier interaction
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years relevant professional experience
  • BS or MS in electrical, computer engineering or related engineering discipline
