Role Overview

Fisker is looking for the founding member of the business systems and IT team that owns, builds, operates and continuously improves the business systems of Fisker. Reporting into the VP of Program Operations, you will serve the systems and IT needs of the entire company. This role also brings outstanding skills in leadership, analysis, critical thinking, conflict management, and risk management. You will work across the organization to ensure upstream and downstream impacts are identified, communicated, and aligned. You will be responsible for defining standard operating procedures across the organization. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources and solve problems quickly and effectively. A strong team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and operations of internal Business Systems to support the rapid growth of the company.
  • Create the strategic roadmap of business systems buildout and improvements that fit Fisker’s needs.
  • Own ERP systems and their integrations to our production as well as external partner data.
  • Serve as a cross-departmental bridge across the entire organization to create, improve and operate internal systems.
  • Oversee the IT functions of procurement, device management, corporate network, SAAS services management and support for Fisker employees across all locations.
  • Drive build vs buy and hiring decisions based on the tactical and strategic needs to support the business.
  • Become an advocate for the team by promoting a culture of excellence, knowledge sharing, expanding the team’s skill set, and focusing on Fisker’s growth and fun.
  • Understand current systems and challenges with a focus on financial systems.
  • Identify key short term and long priorities for business systems.
  • Establish trust and create relationships with all their customers.
  • Become an advisor to all key stakeholders. Proactively identify and drive new system and process initiatives.
  • Automate reporting and audits.
  • Improve HR and payroll systems to meet the needs of Fisker.
  • Build out the Business Systems and IT organization to the next level of maturity.

Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience implementing and managing business systems with 5+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in building and scaling up the business systems in a rapid growth company
  • Proven ability to create and deliver to a roadmap with limited resources
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting and operational business processes
  • Experience in maintaining, upgrading and implementing additional human resources, tax and partner data systems that integrate with the core ERP.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and projects
  • Ability to balance long term strategic priorities with short term tactical needs
  • Experience with business systems at a publicly traded company and with Sarbanes Oxley implementations is a plus
