Aerodynamics Design Engineer

Pratt & Miller is looking for an Aerodynamics Design Engineer to join our championship team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have a passion and commitment to a career in Design Engineering and Motorsports. The candidate will have ownership of developing complex aerodynamic body surfaces in 3D CAD software. Working closely with our agile team of Aerodynamic Engineers, CFD Engineers, Design Engineers, and Fabricators, you will employ and develop the most modern methods available. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the aerodynamic development program from design specification, conceptual layout, component optimization, physical realization, through on-track performance verification.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 2 years professional motorsport, automotive, or aerospace experience
  • Proven complex vehicle surfacing ability (NX preferred)
  • A demonstrated analytical background including experience of CFD data analysis.
  • A hands-on approach to your design validation process
  • Wind tunnel test experience preferred

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

WORK ENVIRONMENTS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Up to 10% travel required (Domestic and International)
  • Hands-on skills and willingness to fit test parts in shop or at wind tunnel as needed
  • Ability to move boxes and parts up to 50 lbs.
