2022 Engineering Graduate Scheme

Ours is a story of ingenuity and relentless technical development. Of grit, and heroism, and human endeavour. Of knowing and believing that we’re only at our best when we’re at our bravest. Of moving fearlessly forward. Always.

So, we’re taking the pursuit of better seriously. We have huge plans for our future. We’re making incredible things happen.

Right now, we’re looking for Engineering Graduates to push us further and faster than ever on a 2-year rotational programme. To tackle F1 racing’s biggest challenges with humility. To make the most of our open culture. To own the next chapter in our story.

Our Engineering Graduate Programme is specifically designed to develop talent within engineering, to add new thinking and skills to the team, and to develop McLaren Racing’s future leaders.

Our team is full of incredible people and we know we can learn as much from you as you can from us. Likewise, you want to learn and grow, and you want to share your knowledge with others. After all, that’s what a high performing team is built upon.

You’ll gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience in a broad range of areas, primarily in Engineering, where you’ll have the opportunity to work in all of the key disciplines, from Design, Aerodynamics, Strategy, Vehicle Performance, Race Engineering and more. Outside of Engineering you’ll also be exposed to other areas such as Manufacturing, Finance and Marketing. Previous graduates have gone on to be Aerodynamicists, Design Engineers, Simulator Engineers, Vehicle Dynamics Engineers, Performance Engineers and Strategists.

Job requirements

You'll need to have an Engineering related degree (2:1+ or equivalent), and ideally, you'll have completed a placement or internship. As a grad, we'll make sure you're supported and mentored where required by experienced members of the team, but also empowered to make decisions and add real value to our performance.

You're a problem solver, never hesitating to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, using your initiative at every opportunity to deliver solutions and make processes leaner. You're self-motivated and a motivator, and you're the person that is always 10 steps ahead.
