Race Director

Destination Motorsports / NASCAR Pinty's Series seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position of NASCAR Pinty’s Series Race Director based in the province of Ontario or in our Halton Hills office. 

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series Race Director will manage all aspects of race procedures of a NASCAR Pinty'sevent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Callsthe race from the tower during the event.

Manages all aspects of race procedures prior to and during an event.

Conducts the pre-race drivers meeting/crew chief meeting and rookie meetings. Prepare event information/proceduresto communicate at each official meeting. Prepares and plans for all upcoming events.

Event calls with Series Director, Tech Director and Track operators to discuss event times/schedule and logisticsbefore each event.

Paperwork - Keeps up with rules and updates. Weekly update event file for each show. Prepares all crew chief/meeting notes prior to each event.

Computer work - keeps records of all forms, schedules, penalties and infractions. Stays current on driver resumes and prepares driver observe list for current and future events. Post-event: creates and communicatesobserved drivers and report to the Series Director.

Works closely with Series Director and Technical Director at each event, checks facility for safety and makes sure everything is functional. Follows up with Series Director, recapping event.

Post race-weekend: recaps event, identifies strengths and weaknesses and creates punch list and timeline ofcorrective action. Works with Series Director, Technical Director with regards to these actions. Monitors and reports progress and results.

Inventories equipment and keepfunctional. Stay connected with theSeries Director.

High percentage of travel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises employees in prospective Series during the race from the tower

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.; addressing complaints and resolving problems that may arise with the competitors in the series.
