Principal Accountabilities

  • Provide appropriate proactive support to the Global McLaren Retailer Network to ensure that Vehicle off Road (VOR) is kept to a minimum and within the agreed KPIs.
  • Responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient information/data flow between McLaren Central and Regional functions for VOR cases. Translate complex information into a single view of the issue.
  • Where appropriate lead direct communication with Retailers, ensuring a professional approach is maintained throughout.
  • Work in close partnership with Aftersales Technical Support and Parts Operations teams to ensure that repair plans are put in place and actioned in a timely manner, whilst being respectful of established roles and responsibilities to minimise inefficiencies through task overlap.
  • Work as part of a small but focussed network of Global VOR Coordinators, sharing information and best practise.
  • Attend the daily VOR meetings and present special cases/escalations to the Central Teams as required.
  • Build strong working relationships with the relevant McLaren Regional Teams, holding regular VOR case reviews and ensuring the efficient and effective flow of communication.
  • Liaise between McLaren Central Teams, Regional Teams and Retailers to optimise the ‘up-time’ of McLaren Demonstrator vehicles, ensuring they are fault free and ready to serve.
  • Gather information from a multitude of different sources within Region, interpret and feedback to the McLaren Central Teams

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A high level of engineering experience gained within the automotive industry (minimum 5yrs experience)
  • Proven technical experience and knowledge of modern vehicle systems including Hybrid, CAN/BUS, active suspension, engine and transmission management and occupant safety systems.
  • Experienced in automotive Retailer and/or Head-office operations.
  • Highly IT literate in Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications/Programmes
  • Experienced in managing multiple, constantly changing, workstreams in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at multiple levels, up to Director, within McLaren and it’s Retailer Network
  • A clear communicator with strong English written and verbal skills
  • Language skills in addition to English are desirable.
  • Knowledge of local consumer protection laws and regulations
