Senior Range Test Engineer

Your testing will make our future more sustainable by turning physics-based predictions of Range & losses in our vehicles into reality. As a Range Test engineer you will complement Range modeling engineers and lead all test planning and execution. You will work closely across functional teams to identify precision in testing or improvements in methodologies and measurement in vehicle testing.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • B.S. or diploma in Aerodynamics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with dynamometer or aerodynamics testing
  • 3+ year of experience homologating and launching a new product
  • Fundamental understanding of dynamometers or load cells, DAQ systems such as Vector/ATI/ETAS test suites
  • Basic Proficiency in any of Python/Matlab etc
  • Experience with instrumentation sensor characteristics

Preferred Requirements :

  • 2+ years of experience in motorsports
  • Experience with controls strategies for vehicle powertrain/dynamics systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Jira applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
  • A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Lead all test planning and execution with support from Homologation & calibration test teams
  • Own EPA Range and Coastdown testing with support from thermal and aerodynamics teams
  • Own improvements in measurement & testing methodologies
  • Define & implement dyno/coastdown test modes
  • Engineering point of contact for the Homologation team
