Senior Producer, Internal Production

The Senior Producer, Internal Production plans, coordinates, produces, technical directs and edits various aspects of the company’s live and on demand programming. The Senior Producer also leads and develops programs for training and educational production needs for all internal production content.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee the production and technical direction of live streams across the companies OTT platform.
  • Oversee the production and technical direction of live broadcasts of the company’s Screens production to tracks and facilities.
  • Lead and oversee the daily work of full-time and freelance internal production staff.
  • Use talent, skill and creativity to produce content elements for ancillary content to be included in internal screens productions.
  • Use talent, skill and creativity to produce highlights from the international world feed for live distribution and FTP distribution to international broadcast partners for all three national series races.
  • Produce and distribute cut downs of the top three national series races for delivery to International’s streaming product
  • Conceptualize, write, produce and supervise graphics, edit and audio sessions for Internal Productions content 
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) for assigned projects
  • Be primary point of contact on projects for Internal Productions Business Units (i.e. Events, International, OTT and Screens)
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently project requirements to Internal Productions staff, in addition to other involved parties 
  • Travel: up to 15%, including weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervises assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS                 

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of seven (7) years related experience, internship, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.                          
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should know company-provided hardware and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Linear or Non-Linear editing experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of client-server, web technologies, and/or systems integrations is a plus. 
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
  • Strong non-linear editing and post-production skills (Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects)
  • Working operator knowledge of studio graphics and replay software and hardware (ie Duet/Chyron, XPression, EVS, Vectar)
  • Ability to react quickly and positively in a wide variety of production situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with little direct supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide and accept feedback without compromising creativity or quality                      
  • Knowledge of sports, specifically auto racing, including current drivers, rules and events
  • Familiarity with television production procedures, specifically sports production
  • Familiarity with server-based media
  • Familiarity with the sports media landscape, including knowledge of business trends and technologies
