We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success and growth in these dynamic industries.

Responsibilities:

    Monthly Close Execution: Take direct responsibility for executing all tasks related to the monthly financial close process. This includes preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of monthly close tasks.
    Journal Entries and Schedules: Prepare, review, and post journal entries, as well as complete comprehensive monthly schedules for various accounts to support the financial close process. Maintain meticulous attention to detail to uphold the integrity of financial records.
    Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications related to invoicing, payments, and inquiries during the monthly close process. Address any discrepancies promptly to ensure smooth financial operations.
    Process Improvement and Documentation: Follow existing processes and identify/recommend improvements. Maintain and improve documentation of processes.
    Special Projects Support: Provide support on ad-hoc projects, such as system implementations, financial analysis, process enhancements, and financial audits. Assist in project planning, execution, and documentation as needed while maintaining regular responsibilities.
    Team Collaboration: Work with staff accountants and other accounting teams within the organization to support efficient recording of and accurate financial information. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial objectives and reporting requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure transparency and understanding of financial performance and objectives.

Requirements:

    CPA Certification: Preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will also be considered.
    NetSuite Experience: Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems is preferred.
    Public Accounting Background: Prior experience in public accounting is a plus.
    Industry Experience: Experience in media/advertising sales or automotive industry finance is advantageous.
    Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite of products. Understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
