Purpose of Role

To join McLaren Automotive Vehicle Electronics team to provide support for Quality for all McLaren vehicle platforms. Responsible for implementing class leading Quality process for the Vehicle Electronics team.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the team in delivering Quality program targets and design in Quality from concept to program delivery and Series support.
  • Deliver all critical program activities related to Quality for the Vehicle Electronics team.
  • Implement quality processes for Vehicle Electronics.
  • Work as part of a team, reporting to the Principal Engineer - Series Quality & TVM.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Electronics architecture experience (harness, CAN/LIN protocols, ECUs, sensors) in an automotive environment.
  • Experience of Electrical systems for automotive applications.
  • Experience of Quality Management processes, such as APQP, PPAP, etc.
  • Experience of issue management and tracking processes.
  • Knowledge of the FMEA process.
  • Knowledge of Fault Finding and Root Cause Analysis.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products
  • Experience Test and integration of vehicle Electronics systems.
  • Generation and approval of detailed specifications.
  • Experience gained in Automotive OEM or tier one supplier.

  • A UK vehicle driving license
