Introduction
Our client, a leading company in the Rail - Communications sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with expertise in LU Cable Management Systems. This is a contract position for an initial 6-month period with a high possibility of extension. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the design and build of cable management systems within the challenging environment of the London Underground.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess the design and buildability of cable management systems (CMS) in accordance with project requirements and industry standards
- Liaise with design and construction teams, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of projects
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical engineering aspects of CMS systems
- Monitor project progress, identify any issues or risks, and propose appropriate solutions
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify the installation and performance of CMS systems
- Produce technical reports, documentation, and drawings as required
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in Electrical Engineering, particularly in LU Cable Management Systems
- Strong project engineering background, ideally gained within the rail industry
- Knowledge and understanding of design and buildability principles for CMS systems
- Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings and specifications
