Purpose of Role

To ensure McLaren Automotive continues its desire to be “the sportscar company”, we are looking for a Graduate Interdomain Control Software Engineer to join our team.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Reporting to the Principal Control Software Engineer, the Graduate Controls Software Engineer will be working on all aspects to define, design and deliver control functions including requirements, interfaces and algorithms.
  • Implement control functions in MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow
  • C-code generation and analysis
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver SW components
  • Conduct SW components testing using MIL and SIL techniques
  • Testing SW components within the system on the HIL
  • SW components verification & validation against requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Degree level education in a relevant Engineering discipline – electronic, mechanical, automotive, motorsport etc.
  • Strong passion for automotive control design and development.
  • Education or experience in vehicle network, body systems, power management, software functional safety, applications or model-based design desirable.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical design fundamentals.
  • Great attention to detail and an attitude to produce ‘right first time’ quality work.
  • PC literate and at ease with MS Office products.
