Warehouse Coordinator (12 Month FTC)

Purpose of the role

You will provide and maintain a Stores function to all departments in McLaren Racing – Commercial, ensuring it runs smoothly. This is a multi-dimensional role, coordinating the flow of goods through Commercial. Tasks will include goods receipt, stock management, picking, packing and dispatch. The overall intent is to ensure stock is correctly and accurately accounted for and dispatched in a timely and efficient manner.

Role Dimensions

  • Ensure that all deliveries for all departments within McLaren Racing – Commercial are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
  • Handle all McLaren Racing – Commercial departmental stock requests and movements as required.
  • Ensure that items for Grand Prix, Partner events, pit stop challenges, networking events, pillar events and general events are prepared and packed according to the freight lists and manage their return into stock.
  • Prepare guest gift bags and ensure timely deliver for all MTC and TLC events as required.
  • Continuously update the stock system.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks, monitoring stock levels and investigating and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Complete the necessary documentation and online forms for all courier deliveries and track the deliveries as required.
  • Ensure that stock levels for packaging are monitored and maintained, restocking as required and informing relevant departments of shortages and issues.
  • Work closely with the other Commercial Warehouse team members to manage the priority of requests and tasks.
  • Plan Stores layout (including that of Commercial’s Unit 2 areas) and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Provide management and colleagues with regular work updates and information on stock levels and their whereabouts.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Look for ways to continuously improve the warehouse operations.
  • Maintain the company’s standards of health and safety and security practices within Stores.
