Role Summary
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a vital role in the support of project delivery with a key emphasis on Highway Development Planning. You will engage with various stakeholders and respond to transport-related consultations initiated by governmental bodies and industry organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and developing transport policy documents and strategies - Responding to transport-related consultations from various organisations - Producing business cases and funding bids for transport projects - Developing transport improvements in accordance with government guidance - Project managing the delivery of transport schemes - Coordinating and monitoring projects to achieve targets - Managing the delivery of smarter choices and behaviour change initiatives - Project managing traffic survey programs and transport modelling work
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant Transport Planning field - Working towards Chartered status with a relevant body or equivalent experience - Significant experience in leading projects or works programs - Ability to establish and maintain constructive relationships with teams and stakeholders - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing - Ability to work in a political environment
Working Conditions
- Hybrid working (working from home and in the office) with occasional site visits
