Background:
Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. 

Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Design Office Manager to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will support the design process by maintaining accurate data within the 3DX environment. You will facilitate the smooth running of the design approval, release and up-issue processes and ensure the general smooth running of the department by taking ownership of non design tasks and projects as required. Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the creation and maintenance of accurate data within the 3DX environment, such as the BOM, DMU and Weight model.
  • Manage the drawing approval, release and up issue process and the transfer to our PLM, Projects and Production teams.
  • Work with the Deputy Chief Designer and Heads of Sections to ensure the car design process meets the requirements of all stakeholders, identify and highlight risks to the Deputy Chief Designer.   
  • Ensure the design department’s smooth running.    
  • Champion sustainability within the department.  

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.  
  • Familiarity with 3DX/ Catia
  • Experience in motorsport or similar high-end design office.  
  • Some knowledge of manufacturing methods and materials.    
  • The ability to foster collaboration and achieve project objectives.  
  • Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.  
  • Ability to prioritize in a time pressured environment and manage personal deadlines.  
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently, while meeting challenging deadlines.  
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.).   
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
