The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team

Job Description:
We have an opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Manager to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will lead a skilled group of technicians responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of a robust and scalable IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, databases, and cloud services.
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and enforce security measures, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure against internal and external threats
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
  • Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing available funds.
  • Build and lead a highly skilled infrastructure team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
  • Continuously monitor the capacity requirement of the company and maintain rolling plans to ensure the company has adequate resources at all times.
  • Assist and support other IT functions (particularly Trackside Support Team) as and when required.
  • Ensure the Trackside and Factory infrastructure is designed and managed in a similar way achieving maximum interoperability and reliability between the two environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize infrastructure and technology initiatives based on business needs, resource availability, and risk assessment.
  • Provide level 3 support services to the Service Desk and user base.
  • Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines are managed correctly and adhered to at all times.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent technical certification)
  • Has a minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar line management role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
  • Has a minimum of 5 years experience supporting and managing infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft, VMware and Linux product sets, with certification in at least one system (CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, VCTA, CCP)
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM framework
  • Extensive (hands-on) experience in designing and implementing network and server infrastructures.
  • Proven experience in writing technical documentation (maintaining asset records, configuration records, users and technician instructions).
  • Experience with Scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, etc
  • Desirable experience with containers and or container orchestration platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes as well as configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, etc
  • Well versed with licensing, disaster recovery and security concepts.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and a passion for excellence
  • Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors
  • Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors
  • Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
