Component Part Kitter

Alpine F1 Team is looking for a Component Parts Kitter to join our model shop in support of our wind tunnel programme.  With a dynamic and supportive team mindset and world-leading facilities in Enstone in rural Oxfordshire, we provide the ideal environment in which to develop your career.

If you are high performing, tenacious and motivated, apply today and take the first step towards joining the Enstone family.

The Role

As a Component Parts Kitter in our Aerodynamics Department, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of our aerodynamics testing programme by making sure that all necessary parts are completed to an appropriate standard and readily available in time for their allotted test in the wind tunnel.  Following the specifications set out by one of our Model Designers, you will proactively gather kits of the parts required for a series of wind tunnel runs, check that they meet the required quality criteria, and prepare them for testing by drilling and tapping holes, attaching seals and adding identification labels.  After testing, you will store the parts correctly so that they can be easily retrieved in the future and identify parts that are able to be scrapped.

A strong team player, you will communicate proactively with colleagues including those in our Model Design, Wind Tunnel Production, Experimental Testing and Aero Development groups, to ensure the parts are ready in time for their allotted test and to help make sure that our wind tunnel programmes operate smoothly and efficiently.  You will receive training on the Dynamics software package and use it to maintain effective stock control.

The Person

You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, and able to follow written and verbal instructions closely, asking questions if these are not clear.  This role requires strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset – you will be able to organise your time effectively and be able to prioritise concurrent tasks to make sure deadlines are met.  You will be computer-literate and able to organise information quickly.  Above all you will be a team player who communicates well and works well under pressure, with a willingness to learn and a determination to give your best in all situations.

Alpine Racing strives to be diverse and inclusive, a place where we can all be ourselves. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to making a consistent, top down effort to be role models on what diversity, inclusion and belonging means in society.
