For our team in Greding (D-91171) we are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Trackside Aerodynamicist for improving on-track performance of the race car and defining the aerodynamic development direction.
To be filled: With immediate effect
Tasks:
- Monitor and analyze aerodynamic data on the race car
- Define aerodynamic car setup and track test items
- Set development goals based on track observations
- Conduct full car CFD simulations
- Improve aerodynamic correlation between CFD, track and wind tunnel
- Build and maintain a multi-dimensional aero model
- Define car instrumentation for aerodynamic measurements
- Develop and improve tools and processes for efficient data analysis
- Summarize and report observations
Requirements:
- University degree (TU / FH / TH) in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering / Automotive Engineering or equivalent fields
- Motorsport experience
- Profound knowledge of race car aerodynamics
- Good data interpretation and analytical skills
- Knowledge of CFD techniques and analysis
- Experience with MoTeC i2 Pro and coding skills (Python/Matlab) is an advantage
- Ability to make decisions within a pressurized environment
- Ability to successfully work in a team and independently
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel
