Purpose of the Role:
To manage and develop the supply chain, and to deliver components and performance upgrade projects for our Formula 1 race car programme.
Role Dimensions:
Working as part of a fast paced, flexible and energetic team to support the manufacture and delivery of patterns, tooling, carbon fibre laminated and high precision machined metallic components.
Based at the MTC in Woking and reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader. The role will also involve some travel to suppliers.
About You:
You will be a supportive team player with clear, professional and effective communication skills, both internally within your multi-disciplinary team of project managers and quality engineers, and externally with our supply chain.
Dynamic and good at problem solving, you will be highly motivated, able to work accurately to tight deadlines with good attention to detail and be able to work calmly under pressure.
You will need to be able to build strong relationships with a broad spectrum of suppliers, and negotiating robustly and fairly in order to deliver the right quality of components on time is your thing.
Ideally you will have experience in a motorsport or prototype manufacturing environment, with an understanding of modern manufacturing methods and processes
