Job title: Senior Manager – TV and Content
W Series, the ground-breaking motor racing championship for female drivers only, is recruiting a Senior Manager – TV and Content to manage W Series broadcasting activity. The ideal person will be curious about working for an exciting start-up business, will have an interest in women’s sport and experience in managing day-to-day activity between a business and its broadcasting partners.
The key aim being to ensure W Series races receive the best broadcast package possible.
Purpose of role:
- Overall responsibility and the main point of contact for all W Series broadcast partners
- Work alongside existing broadcast partners to ensure W Series races have the best available time slots
- Identify and win over new international broadcasting partners
Principal accountabilities:
- To ensure W Series races are broadcast in the right countries, at the right times and on the right channels, in line with our commercial strategy
- To drive the increase of W Series race viewership, online and on television
- The distribution of key information to broadcast partners as and when required
- Support the broadcaster at race venues to ensure all W Series and sponsor marketing material is positioned in the best locations
- Translate briefs into effective plans to deliver client KPIs through Broadcast channels either awareness or cost per acquisition
- Build strong relationships with relevant media owners
- Be a true broadcast specialist and able to explain the medium to clients and planners
- Provide support, access and communication with other departments ensuring “one team” approach both before and on race weekends
- Coordinate and implement all broadcast planning briefings as identified, whilst also contributing to coordination and reporting of post event reviews

- Demonstrate an inventive approach to campaign delivery challenges, drawing on the relevant experience and people to successfully achieve the agreed solution
- Good knowledge of the fundamentals of Broadcast and media best practice
- A passion for Broadcast effectiveness and the creation of ideas
- A can-do attitude and positive approach, even in challenging situations
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the role Broadcast plays in the campaign channel mix and broader client strategy
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, across a variety of stakeholders, with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes that contribute towards the overall organisational objectives
- Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail in the preparation of planning documents, communication and reports
- A proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor; understanding the everchanging events environment which will include unsociable hours
