The position:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Aerodynamics department.
Ideally the candidates should have 5 years or more in a mechanical design role within a high level motorsport or automotive environment, have a good attention to detail, work calmly and accurately under pressure, work positively and enthusiastically in a small team and have a flexible attitude to helping fulfil the requirements of the department.
Key operational duties:
Complete project design cycle from scheming, through to design and detailing using 3D modelling software is crucial in the success of this role.
Your designs will make use of good engineering practise to achieve components that are flexible, modular, practical, and sympathetic with manufacturing processes.
Conceptual and detail design of metallic, composite and ADM components for use on our wind tunnel model and full size aero test car
Ideal credentials:
strong communication skills
natural ability to take initiative and respond quickly and effectively to problems
flexible approach to working hours, particularly when faced with tight deadlines.
