R&D Design Engineer

To support the growth of the team, we have an exciting opportunity in the role of R&D Design Engineer.

 

We are looking for an engineer or mechanical designer to join our team at a tremendously exciting time for Aston Martin Formula 1.  We are expanding the R&D group not only to improve car performance but also to transform our test capabilities as we move into a brand new factory.

 

Key Skills :

  • The ability to design original test rigs and adapt them to new car hardware
  • Be able to progress multiple projects concurrently
  • An understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical actuation
  • An appreciation of data logging, sensors and measurement techniques

 

Applicants for the role should :

  • Have a good quality degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Motorsport Engineering
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Have experience of a modern 3D CAD system
  • Ideally have experience working in R&D in motorsport, aerospace or other high tech industry
