APPRENTICESHIP STANDARD: Level 3 Heritage Engineering Technician Apprentice

DURATION: 4 Year Apprenticeship

START DATE: 2nd September 2024

STARTING SALARY: £21,236

HERITAGE SKILLS ACADEMY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Five GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at grade 4 (C) minimum or above

LOCATION: Based in Crewe - Mainly Onsite with Some Hybrid and Flexible Working

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

You will be working towards a level 3 Heritage Engineering Technician qualification, whilst developing your skills and knowledge with on-the-job training and experiences. You will have the opportunity to spend 20% of your week learning with an external training provider working towards an externally recognised qualification. The following 80% of your time will be based at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, you’ll work alongside industry-leading experts gaining practical knowledge of what you are studying, take part in corporate social responsibility initiatives and grow your networks, equipping you with personal and professional training and development to accelerate your career.

ABOUT MULLINER

With roots that can be traced back to before the birth of the motor car, Mulliner operates today as Bentley’s personal commissioning division. From special features and finishes to entirely new Coachbuilt vehicles, the Mulliner name continues to represent the ultimate in Bentley luxury.

As an Apprentice you will join a team of specialists bringing these products to life, giving you real-life tangible experience in the luxury automotive sector to elevate your career journey. You will find yourself working within:

  • MULLINER AND MOTORSPORTS OPERATIONS

Bentley’s Mulliner department create the pinnacle products within our portfolio, split into three core area’s: Classic Continuation, Coachbuilding and Collections. You will work alongside the teams building and crafting these vehicles , learning skills along the way that will allow you to become an integral part of the delivery team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working alongside the existing Mulliner workshop team to develop skills that will enable you to develop into a Technician within the department
  • Attendance at off-site training locations to learn traditional skills that support the ongoing upkeep of those specialist skills that are needed in order to work on historic vehicles
  • Collaborating with the department on process improvement projects

ABOUT YOU

It would be advantageous to have an enthusiasm for Vehicles and a basic understanding of Vehicle Systems. The successful candidate will:
