Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our talented Finance department based out our campus in Milton Keynes. This role is vital in partnering our Hospitality & Overheads teams and will become their go - to for all finance related activity.
The hospitality team is responsible for delivering our world class trackside hospitality offerings. Ranging from the premium paddock club experience to the edgy Red Bull exclusive energy station. The other side of this team is reasonable for delivery of all the factory events and tours that take place in the infamous event space.
Marketing overheads is covered by the marketing operations teams. This is the heartbeat of the team supporting in delivery week in and week out, of either race related marketing topics, through to one off events.
This role is dynamic and requires flexibility, while working in a fast passed environment dealing with a high workload. You will be comfortable communicating at a director / c-suite level while supporting colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
The successful candidates will ensure that the 3 main facets of finance are consistently covered to the highest of standards, business partnering (with a key focus on providing transparency and adding value), Financial reporting (including full end to end month and end close reporting) and forecasting.
Key Accountabilities for this Finance Business Partner (Hospitality & Overheads) position:
Business Partnering
- Drive value within the functions including P&L value, process improvements, departmental synergies, efficiencies, and data transparency.
- Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen by measuring and reviewing cost/benefit ratio of proposed activities and assess the value for money of such activities.
- Development of additional MI reporting metrics.
Financial Reporting
- End to end ownership of month end close.
- Reporting of results, MI and key commentary to stakeholders of all levels
- Support FP&A team with HQ reporting
Planning and Forecasting
- Own the Business Planning /forecasting process for the functions supported
- Work to additional timescales to support a detailed review within the marketing senior leadership team
- Support the latest estimate process towards the year end and close out.
Essential Competencies of this Finance Business Partner (Hospitality & Overheads) position:
- CIMA / ACCA Qualified
- Strong experience in a Finance / Management Accounting position (Hospitality / Marketing background highly desired)
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively
- Experience of working to tight deadlines in a highly pressured environment.
- Able to manage and manipulate large data sets.
- SAP & Power BI experience preferable but not essential.
