Dyno Operator

At M-Sport, we are dedicated to supporting motorsport manufacturing and customer programmes spread across a variety of National and International rally and race series on a vast range of stages and circuits in the most acclaimed motorsport championships. Based at the historic Dovenby Hall Estate on the doorstep to the Lake District, our team of highly skilled Technicians and Engineers work closely together through each step, from design, to build and manufacturing, and then running our elite competition cars.

With the 2022 season underway, we are looking for a Dyno Operator for our ever-growing global motorsport engineering company. This role requires supporting our Engine Shop Department with all our competition engine builds. 

​Duties will include:

  • Mounting and running of all new and re-built engines.

  • Changing the physical test cell configuration to run different specifications of engine.

  • Setup and calibration of the gauges and measuring equipment

  • Putting engines through dedicated testing routines, to prove out; performance, reliability, and durability.

  • Maintaining testing records. 

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be educated to a good technician level.

  • Be computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.

  • Have a good technical understanding of internal combustion engines, their control systems and testing techniques.

  • Have meticulous attention to detail. 

  • Have previous motorsport experience would be an advantage. 

The role requires a consistently high level of performance and quality in a highly pressurised and time sensitive environment. The role would suit a self-motivated team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. A flexible approach to working hours is required.
