Craftsperson

We are seeking a Craftsperson to assist in the undertaking of planned maintenance and repairs for the Department's property portfolio. The post offers the opportunity to gain experience and learn all necessary skills as a Craftsman while under the supervision of a Tradesman.

About the Role
Public Estates and Housing is a division of the Department of Infrastructure and is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the Government's property portfolio throughout the Island. Properties include the motorsport properties of the island, the hospital, social care homes, schools, factories, workshops, ports & harbours, and other office facilities.

You will have been offered a conditional placement on the relevant Apprenticeship course at University College Isle of Man.

A full and clean Driving Licence would be desirable, but if not held on appointment then will be required within a pre-determined time scale. A pre-employment medical will also be required.

You will undertake reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of building fixtures and equipment as well as carrying out minor works and providing support services.

A uniform will be provided to the successful. A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
