Composite Technician

Pratt & Miller is currently looking for Composites Technicians. Ideal candidates would have 2 + years recent experience in all aspects of composite work. Candidates with a basic knowledge of auto body concepts, who demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, are preferred.

Projects include motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Produce composite components using the following materials:

  • Fiberglass
  • Aramid (Nomex& Kevlar)
  • Carbon Fiber
  • And other Advanced Carbon Materials

Techniques performed include:

  • Wet lay-up
  • Prepreg lay-up
  • Metal-to-Metal Bonding Utilizing Vacuum Bagging
  • Hot Bond
  • And otherAdvanced Techniques

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Experience performing all aspects of compositeswork, specifically parts production utilizing various composites techniquesincluding: hot and cold bonding, experience working with PrePreg materials, aswell as Honeycomb and Fiberglass is a plus.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • US Citizen preferred

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Stress may occur periodically
  • Long hours may be required
