Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to work with our Infrastructure Projects team at the Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes.
This position will play a key role in expanding our F1 facilities and making infrastructure improvements throughout our Campus. We’re looking for a Project Manager with a rounded skillset who is willing to get involved in all stages of project delivery. Whether it’s developing the masterplan for the campus, providing connectivity to new buildings or providing client-side technical assurance on construction projects, you will need to supply industry experience to develop feasible solutions and work with our supply chain to carry them out.
As you would expect with F1, our facilities as well as our cars are constantly evolving, and you will be responsible for maintaining an accurate record of our facilities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Scoping, design and development of various civils and external works including but not limited to, utilities, hard and soft landscaping, and sub/superstructure.
- Undertake design development on larger projects, utilising your skills to produce a schedule of requirements, interface schedules and phasing documents.
- Support the business in obtaining surveys for our site infrastructure (i.e. fibre network, ducting, power distribution and other key utilities) and gaining the necessary permissions for these and keeping information up to date.
- Act as a primary contact for major utility suppliers and local authority to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage projects on site working closely with the Main Contractor to ensure all works adhere to programme and schedules and that minimum disruption to the business is maintained.
In Addition:
- Work with the various departments to develop their initial ideas into practical solutions.
- Present solutions to meet the customer requirements within our existing infrastructure.
- Detailed involvement in design development on larger projects, utilising your skills to produce a schedule of requirements, interface schedules and phasing documents.
Essential Competencies:
- Working knowledge of the whole construction process.
- Familiar with managing activities in line with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.
Desired Experience:
- Excellent communication skills and good stakeholder management.
- Dynamic thinking and determination to see projects through.
