Apprentice Technician (Classic Car Restoration)

Ramsport Engineering Ltd are looking for an Apprentice Technician to join our highly talented team in our Denbighshire workshop. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to learn from some of the most talented technicians in the classic car restoration industry, whilst attending college to gain a full qualification in their respective field.

An apprenticeship at Ramsport is an experience unlike any other; you will be cutting your teeth on some of the most iconic and desirable cars ever designed, and as such will develop skills and approaches unique to these vehicles. Often; our approaches and techniques will foster frustration and fatigue. Once mastered, however, you will be able to perform any given task not only to an acceptable standard, but to the best standard possible.

The successful candidate will have an ever-present drive to exceed the expectations of their Ramsport colleagues. A sense of personal pride in your work is essential, as is a keen personal interest in both classic cars themselves and the process of interacting with them.

At Ramsport we take immense pride in producing restorations that few can hope to rival and we enjoy nothing more than allowing others to appreciate our work. We therefore regularly opt to display our work at shows and festivals. The successful candidate will be expected to show a willingness to support their colleagues at such events on occasion.

It must be understood that we at Ramsport set ourselves extremely high standards of professionalism. We keep our workshop fastidiously clean with the understanding that the results that we produce can only be attained under the best working conditions.

An apprentice, therefore, will be expected to contribute to these high standards of cleanliness and professionalism immediately after joining the team; ensuring that the workshop is clean, tidy and organised at all times which the successful candidate will be expected to adopt and contribute to immediately upon joining us.

As well as the practical experience, you will be required to attend and complete, a 1 day a week training course, studying an NVQ level 2 Apprenticeship.
