Receptionist

Summary: The receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for guests, visitors and fans. The role includes providing administrative support to the Team Support department, coordinating front desk activities, and providing customer service for incoming calls and in-person complex visitors.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Exhibits the highest degree of customer service and professionalism while greeting and welcoming guests, visitors and fans
  • Receives concerns, complaints and issue notifications from incoming calls and visitors, and passes them along to the appropriate team members
  • Answers, forwards and provides assistance as needed for incoming calls and deliveries
  • Ensures reception area is presentable and well stocked at all times
  • Performs administrative functions as needed including laminating, photocopying an filing
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

Must always demonstrate the highest ethical standards and trustworthiness. Must possess a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Solid written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Must be able to multi-task and have time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Must be organized, accurate, and attentive to detail. Must possess the ability to operate basic office equipment including copier, PC, laminator and fax machine. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. Proven experience as a receptionist or similar experience preferred. Experience in a professional sports team preferred.

Computer Skills:

Prefers prior experience with Microsoft Office programs, including extensive experience with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Communication Skills:

Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality. Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

Requires vision (distance, depth) and sense of touch. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 20 pounds and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Frequently stands, walks, sits, manually manipulates, reaches outward, and speaks, Occasionally reaches above shoulder, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, and grasps.

Environment Demands:

Primarily works indoors in an office environment.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Requires an ability to anticipate and deliver upon the needs of the organization. Will provide and apply creative solutions to maintain workflow. Will solve practical problems and deal with a variety of dynamic situations. Must have strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
